Experience
John founded the Shelterfield companies 35 years ago. Licensed as a broker in Pennsylvania, and as a general appraiser in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, John is a member of the Appraisal Institute and an Experience Review Screener for its National Review Committee. He is also a member of the Tri-State Commercial and Industrial Board of Realtors and TReND – the multiple listing service for more than 27,000 real estate professionals in the Philadelphia metropolitan region including Kent and New Castle counties in Delaware; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer and Salem counties in New Jersey; and Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania.

John is a member of the Greater Norristown Corporation, a group of Norristown professionals who serve as facilitators for members of the local business community, with the ultimate goals of preserving and revitalizing this historic seat of Montgomery County, Pa. From 1991 through 2007, John was an advisory board member for National Penn Bank. He is also a retired Army National Guardsman.
